For Our Future

Watch The Full Video

How do we solve our education problems?

As the son of two public school teachers, I will continue to pour my heart and soul into improving our educational system. We need to enhance our curriculum to prepare students for the 21st century and for jobs that don’t yet exist. We also need to invest in our teachers. If there is one economic investment we can make with the greatest value on that investment it is in education.

This is why I proposed a solution to improve our STEM education in Washington K-12 classrooms without costing our local government any tax payer funds.

We also need to make college more affordable and expand programs like Running Start that help us do just that. We also need to unleash the power of new technology into our universities as I have been working to do since 2013. We should not only reduce the cost, but empower our educators with the tools that enable them to even better prepare our children.

Finally, right here in the 8th, I want us to create training programs that help us prepare and re-train workers who are being displaced by automation. As your Congressman, my job is making sure to protect your job.

Every person across America deserves access to affordable, quality health care.
